CAPRIS 50-300 & 50-300ES UV Laser Wire and Cable Marker

The CAPRIS 50-300 is the lastest model in the expanded CAPRIS 50 entry level UV laser wire marker series, which are intended for low volume manufacturing and maintenance applications. CAPRIS 50-300 has been designed for higher volume maintenance repair and overhaul (MRO) and light manufacturing applications in particular, providing a quantum jump in performance/price ratio at this level. It effectively halves the cost of laser marking wires and cables for low and medium volume applications compared to previous equipment.
Building on the technology and success of the CAPRIS 50 and CAPRIS 60 "Classic" systems, the CAPRIS 50-300 is ergonomically designed to fulfill the requirements of harness manufacturers and repair shops, providing an efficient and easy to use tool in the wire shop while offering all of the benefits of safe laser marking with controlled energy levels.
Typical applications include aircraft maintenance repair and overhaul (MRO) and modification centres, low to medium volume harness production, cellular manufacturing and rework of wires in support of high volume wire shops.
CAPRIS 50-300 is designed for processing single core wires and jacketed multi core cables employed in the aerospace and other critical industries. It offers mark, measure and cut capabilities, and is able to process wire and cable from 26 AWG up to 6 AWG.
Marking a single character at a time, the CAPRIS 50-300 provides maximum print flexibility, allowing for up to 100 characters per identification code in both horizontal and vertical print formats. In addition to the main wire ident, the system is also able to automatically mark additional information directly on the wire ends such as connector and pin numbers and wire routing information.
The system employs solid state laser technology and requires no day to day consumables and only simple routine maintenance. Significant cost benefits are achieved by comparison to the use of direct ink marking methods and sleeve markers, through increased system utilisation and productivity, reduced set up and maintenance times, reduced consumable usage and the availability of production aids, which further increase productivity and reduce labour costs.
Direct wire identification costs are about 1% of those of heat shrink sleeve identification methods.
