Spectrum Engineers make the news in Norway!
20 Oct 2008
Spectrum Technologies' field service engineers Ian Loveday and Huw Gregory made the local news during their recent installation trip to Natech in Narvik, Norway.
The specialist laser engineers, who were also accompanied by Rhys Roberts, Software Systems Group Manager at Spectrum, were in Narvik to install the first two new Nova UV laser wire marking systems in Europe, recently purchased by Natech NSV AS. During the install the local paper took a big interest in Spectrum, asking all about the history of the company, the laser technology, our product range and more.
Natech manufactures and delivers made-to-order complex components and subsystems to national and international Armed Forces, oil and gas industries. Spectrum supplied a manual Nova 820 and an automated Nova 860 with ASL and 24 station dereeler, which will be used to produce wire harnesses under contract for the SAAB Gripen.
It seems the arrival of the Nova systems is a big event for the local area. The systems were bought as part of the expansion plans of the Natech facility which will bring about more employment in the area. It is also hoped that with the increased flexibility and capacity that Nova laser wire marking systems will bring, Natech will be in the position to win more lucrative contracts in the future.
