Spectrum announces Nova 880 order for Fokker Elmo in China

Spectrum Technologies is pleased to announce the receipt of its latest order for a top of the range Nova 880 UV laser wire marker from Fokker Elmo for their main production facility in LangFang, China.

The major aerospace wire harness supplier has ordered an ultra high speed Nova 880 wire marking and processing system to support wire harness production for a number of important aircraft programmes including Airbus and Boeing commercial jetliners.

Spectrum has established itself as the sole supplier to Fokker for laser wire marking and processing equipment at their main manufacturing facility in LangFang as well as at their newest facility in Turkey where they are starting to ramp up production on the F35 Joint Strike Fighter. Fokker chose the Nova 880 for its Chinese facility after a highly positive experience using Nova 860 at their Turkish facility and previous experience of Spectrum CAPRIS wire markers in China.

This brings the total of Nova 880 laser wire markers sold to eight out of a total for all Nova models of forty seven systems since the new Nova range was introduced in late 2007. Other customers who have bought Nova 880 systems include Sikorsky Aircraft, Boeing, Harvard Custom Manufacturing, Labinal and SES (US Army Aviation).
