Spectrum appoint new Sales & Marketing Director

Spectrum Technologies PLC is pleased to announce that following an intensive recruitment process, Mr John Meahan has been appointed as International Sales and Marketing Director for Spectrum Technologies PLC.

This is a new role that will allow the CEO and Managing Director, Dr Peter Dickinson, to step back from the commercial side of the business and concentrate on research, technology and new product development.

John joined the company on 4 January and took over full responsibility for all sales and marketing functions from that date. He is based at the company’s headquarters in Bridgend, UK.

John has extensive experience in international sales of capital equipment and electro-optic components and products into the electronics, semi-conductor, defence and photonics industries. He has hands on knowledge and experience of markets in Europe, the US and the key Asia-Pacific growth area and lived in Boulder CO, USA for a period. He is also experienced in and has managed extended overseas sales teams.

Dr Peter Dickinson stated, "This is a key appointment that is aimed at facilitating the future growth of the company. Once I have handed over responsibilities for sales and marketing to John my goal will be to focus much more on technology and new product and business development. I look forward to working closely with John to develop the business."
