New for 2010, Spectrum Technologies are pleased to introduce Nova Braider - wire harness over-braiding equipment with 16 to 64 braiding yarn carriers.

Wire braiding and wire harness braiding machines are used in the design, development and manufacturing of electrical and electronic cabling and harnesses for sea, land, air and space defence applications.

Nova Braider systems are specialist machines for over-braiding complex aerospace and defence wire harnesses with textile, wire or composite over-braid materials*.

*Braiding materials handled:

  • Cloth braiding materials: Polyester, Nomex, Nylon, Teflon and plied Nomex
  • Composite braiding materials: Impregnated Kevlar
  • Round wire braiding material: Tin Plated copper. It should be noted that the specification of the carrier may need to be changed to use this material
