Spectrum Achieves Milestone Sale of 350th CAPRIS® 50-100PCS
Spectrum Technologies PLC, UK-based leader in laser wire processing equipment used in the manufacture of complex aerospace electrical wiring systems, is celebrating the win of a contract to supply their 350th “CAPRIS 50-100PCS” UV laser wire marking system to Textron Aviation, a Textron Inc. (NYSE:TXT) company based in Wichita, Kansas, USA.
Introduced as the world’s first entry-level bench-top UV laser wire marking system, aimed at Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul (MRO) work, avionics and other low volume aerospace and defence wire harness manufacturing applications, it has since become the benchmark product at this level.
Reaching serial number 350 is a significant milestone in the CAPRIS 50-100’s lifetime and solidifies its position as the most widely sold UV laser wire marker in the world, bar none.
CAPRIS 50-100 #350 which was installed in July at Textron Aviation in Wichita, Kansas is the third CAPRIS 50-100 to be purchased for this site. This machine will become the 7th piece of Spectrum Technologies equipment to be sold to Textron Aviation globally and used to produce wire harnesses for upgrades and production.
Since the company was founded in 1989, Spectrum has now supplied over 950 laser wire markers to 60 countries, making it unquestionably the world market leader in the development, design and manufacture of UV laser wire marking equipment.
John Meahan, International Sales & Marketing Director of Spectrum Technologies said, “The CAPRIS 50-100 continues to provide the ideal entry level laser wire marker solution for the aerospace manufacturing and MRO customer base. With its competitive price, high reliability and low running cost it has become the industry standard. We look forward to the continuing success of one of our key products.”
“We would also like to thank Textron Aviation for its continuing business and we look forward to supporting them with their future business needs as one of our key partners.”
