Spectrum Technologies Ltd, the UK-based leader in laser wire processing equipment used in the manufacture of complex aerospace electrical wiring systems, is celebrating winning an order for the 50th of its new 6th generation Nova 50-100i Series Laser Wire Marking System to Frequencia who are a specialist avionics service company based in Witham, Essex, UK. Frequencia partners with aircraft manufacturers and airlines to provide design, fabrication and on-going testing solutions.

Launched during late 2017 the Nova 50-100i series is an innovative, state-of-the-art family of laser wire processing systems, incorporating the latest leading edge technologies. The 3 models in the Nova 50-100i wire marker range, Nova 50-101i, 50-102i and the 50-103i replace the older CAPRIS® 50-100, Nova 800 and Nova 820 models.

The Nova 50-100i’s innovative design is a major advance on the older mask based marking systems. The scanner-based direct write marking method can effortlessly mark the full range of upper and lower case alpha numeric characters and optionally various international alphabets, as well as machine readable codes. The Nova 50-100i marking method also offers significantly improved throughput, with the entry level Nova 50-101i system offering a 50% increase over the older CAPRIS 50-100.

Since the company was founded in 1989, Spectrum has now supplied over 1000 laser wire markers to 52 countries, making it unquestionably the world market leader in the development, design and manufacture and supply of UV laser wire marking equipment.
