Supply Chain Continuity – Spectrum Technologies – Covid-19

Dear Customer,

 

In light of the developing Covid-19 pandemic, Spectrum Technologies has introduced comprehensive global procedures outlining a proactive approach to numerous new practices intended to protect employee welfare and mitigate risks associated to supply chains and product support.

 

Although the situation remains fluid with daily announcements being made at the highest government level, our UK, US and China facilities remain operational.

 

In summary Spectrum Technologies have introduced policy and practice governing the following elements highlighted below:

 

Preparation and Readiness:

 

Policy creation defining health and safety measures and employee support covering all anticipated scenarios

Formal employee communication cascading the details with regular updates

Enhanced employee monitoring and hygiene measures over and above respective Government guidelines for our UK, US and China operations

Working from home; implementation of remote access for identified employees where feasible

Travel Register logging business and personal travel

 

Customer Support:

 

Domestic and International Travel

 

Spectrum Technologies will adhere to all UK, US and other relevant government guidelines and restrictions regarding domestic and international travel.

 

As long as travel remains unrestricted and customers are prepared to accept on site visits from our field service engineers, normal service and support will continue. However, in anticipation of limits to travel and customer restrictions on visitors we are preparing to move to the provision of service engineer assistance for installations, commissioning, upgrades, general troubleshooting and/or technical support via secure and remote means including email, telephone, comprehensive video link and web based diagnostics.

 

 

Each customer will be supported with a dedicated field service engineer for remote installation, commissioning or troubleshooting as required, and who will provide a comprehensive technical overview of the necessary requirements. In addition, all new equipment is supported with operation manuals containing information relating to the specific system installation.

 

Spectrum Supply Chain

 

Spectrum Technologies has recently reviewed the impact Covid-19 is having on its primary suppliers. The feedback to date remains very positive suggesting a robust and reliable supply chain. Spectrum appreciate the situation is extremely fluid and in order to remain dynamic, will conduct regular supplier follow ups.

 

Spectrum Production Schedule

 

As of March 17th 2020, Spectrum’s production schedule remains unaffected by the Covid-19 virus. The schedule remains on track and in line with previous supply and delivery schedules.

 

Spectrum Delivery Schedule

 

To date we have been able to maintain planned delivery schedules to most customers. However, in a very few cases there have been delays in delivery of large systems to customers in identified “High Risk” countries due to a reduction in available cargo flights. This situation is currently easing and in general we do not anticipate any immediate significant issues. However, we will keep matters under review and where necessary we will always investigate alternate delivery means
