Established in 1989 as a spin out from BAE Systems’ Advanced Technology Centre, Spectrum Technologies was the pioneer behind the commercialisation of UV laser wire marking technology within the aerospace industry. This process is now the global industry standard for identifying aerospace wire and cable.
Over the years, Spectrum Technologies has since become the world leader in the design and manufacture of specialised, laser-based industrial wire processing equipment for use in the manufacture of complex wire harnesses and wiring assemblies found in aerospace, defence, rail, automotive, medical and critical industries.
With the support of our strong customer base and a committed team of employees, our performance has been acknowledged with the award of Preferred Supplier Status with the Boeing Company and other aircraft OEMs as well as a number of international exporter and innovation awards.
Its US subsidiary, Spectrum Technologies USA Inc provides sales and service to the North American market from its office in Fort Worth, Texas, USA; a sales and service office has also been established in Shanghai to support the Asia Pacific market and Spectrum’s growing customer base in that region The Company sells its products primarily direct to its business customers in North America and Europe and through distributors and agents throughout the rest of the World, in particular Asia Pacific.
