Appointment of Mr Wayne Thomas as

Managing Director, Spectrum Technologies Ltd

Spectrum Technologies is delighted to announce that Mr Wayne Thomas has joined the Company in the role of Managing Director. Mr Thomas succeeds Dr Ian Hopkin who took on the role in early 2022 but who has subsequently taken early retirement for personal reasons. Dr Peter Dickinson remains in the role of Chairman of the Board and Chief Technical Officer (CTO) to guide the long-term strategic development of the business and to contribute to new business development.

Wayne Thomas is an MBA qualified Operations professional with diverse experience in all aspects of electronics, automotive, oil/gas and most recently natural/organic skincare and beauty sectors. He has excellent business, commercial, financial and manufacturing experience gained from 30 successful years working in FMCG and low volume/high complexity engineering environments. He has proven leadership, communication and motivational skills which he can bring to bear on all areas of the business. He is a positive, enthusiastic and hands on leader with a strong foundation in divisional/business unit P&L control and operational/supply chain management. An extremely competent people manager familiar with managing large multi departmental and multi-site/cultural teams.

Spectrum Technologies navigated successfully through the difficulties of the Coronavirus pandemic, and the business has recovered well during the last 12 months. The outlook for the current financial year is positive; one year on from the start of the Ukraine-Russia war we have seen no negative consequences for our business. While there are significant operational challenges remaining in the ramp back up from covid, as for most businesses, the Board believes that Spectrum remains well positioned for the future. In that context, the Board considers that it is important to maintain progress in introducing new leadership at the top of the Company to deliver on its long term plans.
